About
We've had a lot of time to reflect this year - and with that time, I've felt now, more now than ever the need to make a difference. For all the challenges we've faced, this past year also prompted one of the greatest movements in modern business - the shifting prioritization of positive social impact over company profits...and that's where I come in. Hi, my name is Sam Schwear and I want to use my career to help build purpose-driven brands.
Over the years I've worked for clients in a wide variety of industries, and I've found the ones that excite me most are those that give back. I've helped build a social platform from the ground up that invited Gen Z girls to share their ideas, activism and creativity. I've also collaborated cross-departmentally to plan content and experiences that unite LA while celebrating its rich cultural diversity; and I'm now just beginning to support the city in its fight against the Opioid crisis.
My reputation has been built first and foremost on leadership qualities with a people-first approach, and I hope to use these skills to build mission-driven brands. Brands with a true purpose and desire to make a real difference, not just sell people products and services. I hope to lead and develop work that has the potential to shift perspectives, break down barriers, and make the world a better place.
From a patch of green in Connecticut….
I grew up in an incredibly small town in the south-west corner of Connecticut. With two stoplights and no commercial businesses, my childhood was occupied with art, crafting, and a desire to create. Following graduation, I decided to attend the University of Southern California as a Trustee Merit Scholar. I studied Business Administration with an emphasis in advertising and promotion strategy, and a minor in Communication Design.
To a small town called Los Angeles...
During my time in LA, I have worked in all facets of the advertising business from account management, to strategy, to creative. I've enjoyed working at some of LA's top creative agencies including Giant Spoon, 180LA, and Creative Artists Agency, dabbling in experiential activations, content creation, and data analytics. I also served as a Project Manger for Maverick, a digital application and creative community for the next generation of female changemakers. Currently, I am working as a Senior Brand Impact Manager at enso, helping some of today’s biggest brands identify their authentic purpose and live these values both internally and through their marketing efforts. With a passion for all things creative, and a drive to make a difference in our world, I use my analytical mindset to excel at the intersection of innovative thinking and efficient execution.
